Seder night is almost here. This Motzei Shabbat (after Shabbat) we will be leaving Egypt. Rabbi Shimshon Pincus zt”l tried to explain what is hard to express in words: the power of Seder night. Here is what he taught us:
● “On Seder night, there is enormous significance to even our smallest actions. Even if we don’t feel any change, on this magnificent night each person is given strength that he didn’t have before.”
● “On this holy night, God Himself intervenes in history and tells the Jewish people: I am right here by your side. Whatever befalls you has a deeper purpose and is part of a larger plan.”
● “The next morning, a person should wake up feeling as if his soul has been cleansed. The Seder is not merely about matzot, maror and wine…it is a revolution–you wake up as a new person.”
Chag Sameach!
