Here’s a WhatsApp message that I recently received from Ilana Steiner who lives in Kfar HaRoeh, a moshav near Netanya:
“Shalom Sivan, I thought you would appreciate the following story. Our daughter Ora was traveling by train to the south and a siren was heard. The train stopped at a station. All the passengers got off and entered a protected space. Our daughter got off clutching her baby and ran. Safe in the shelter, she shared her fear with a woman she met on the train - that the train would move on before she got back on, taking her baby carriage and suitcase without her - while rushing to the shelter she left everything but her baby on the train.
But then a man standing next to them said: ‘Don’t worry, the train won’t go on without you. I’m the train driver.’
This made me think: The driver is always there. He is right beside us. It’s just that we do not always pay attention to Him amidst running around and worrying. How much Divine intervention have we experienced during this time? We are in the midst of a rough and unpredictable journey, but the driver is always with us.״
